The Citroën C3 Aircross, which represents the 14 millionth vehicle manufactured by the Zaragoza Plant, has left assembly line 1 of the Groupe PSA factory bound for a European Union market. Some 1,250 jobs are linked to the production of this model, of which production was resumed on June 2, after the stoppage imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Like the 88% of its range mates, this historic Citroën C3 Aircross is exported outside of Spain. A characteristic in the trajectory of this model, which has been a great reinforcement in the internationalization of the Aragonese factory. Thus, this SUV is the architect of the return of "Made in Zaragoza" vehicles to Japan 15 years later.
In 2019, 1,141 units of the Citroën C3 Aircross were exported to the Land of the Rising Sun. An exotic destination for a model that has its main markets in Europe: the 80% of its sales are registered in Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom.
